White Rats Schedule
Practices:
The White Rats usually practice on Thursday evenings at the Alameda
School of Dance, in Alameda, CA, although we move to the
Rockridge BART
station for the months of June, July, and August.
Visitors and potential victims, (er_ recruits)
are welcome. Please contact our
Squire, for information (remove the NOSPM).
Performances:
Our performance season generally runs from May Day through Folsom St.
Fair (the end of September), but we're available anytime with enough notice.
Our usual public showings are:
-
May 1st morning, somewhere.
-
See the Rats drag themselves out of bed Really Early to dance the sun
up. We usually go down to Santa Cruz and dance with
Seabright Morris & Sword at the Lighthouse.
-
Seabright Day of Dance (for 2005, it's on May 14)
-
Seabright Morris invites local teams to tour Santa Cruz, CA, with a
pub at the end. Very popular.
-
GLBT Pride Parade, San Francisco, last Sunday in June
- Formally "The San Francisco Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual,
Transgender, Pride
Parade and Celebration". One of the Rat's original dance-outs.
-
Up Your Alley (aka Dore Alley) Fair, San Francisco, last Sunday
in July
- The "other" Leather street fair.
-
Folsom St. Fair, San Francisco, last Sunday in September.
- The Leather street fair.
We traditionally perform the Abbot's Bromley Horn Dance in the morning,
then some other morris in the early afternoon. We're usually gone by
2pm, as it's too crowded to dance (or sometimes move).
Some of us usually do
